Today in Global Warming

Ok, ladies and gentlemen and the rest of you, I know the term global warming is grossly inaccurate. But isn't it nice to finally have politicians not so blinded by religion and greed that they can't see the deforestation for the trees? Actually, my brother-in-law would still argue against the veracity of global warming. Or at least the use of the term. Or more accurately, the absence of the possibility of absolute proof, or some such Descart-ish silliness.

How many Americans were affected this week by global warming/climate change/the normal cycle of weather we're just too young as a species to recognize? It's all fun and games until your loved ones go five days without electricity or water. Why do we have to argue about terminology while people we know experience "the worst storm I've ever seen" over and over again?

Who cares. It makes some lovely photographs. Image copyright April Torbush 2009; if you want to use it, email me and I'll ask her.
