Not Looking Good

The case of a Colorado man Allen Andrade, 31, accused of murdering a transwoman got a boost from a judge who ruled Tuesday that Andrade's confession is inadmissible.

According to a USA Today article the confession can't be used against Andrade because he stated he was finished answering questions. Prosecutors also are unable to use evidence of Andrade's gang affiliation.

From USA Today:

Judge Marcelo Kopcow issued a ruling Tuesday that threw out a July 30 confession to police by 31-year-old Allen Andrade of Thornton.

Andrade is accused of killing 18-year-old Angie Zapata, a transgender woman found dead July 17 in her southeast Greeley apartment.

And they say LGBT issues aren't civil rights issues. They say we aren't persecuted or treated unfairly or beaten or even murdered because we're different. Tell that to the family of Angie Zapata. Explain exactly why she was beaten to death after Andrade discovered she was "biologically male" if it had nothing to do with her trans status.
